Quantitative Analyst/Developer #142

Ronin is currently looking to hire a Quantitative Analyst/Developer with workable knowledge of C++ systems design and programming. As part of a quantitative team, the individual will work closely with trading staff and provide quantitative research and support. The position is located in our Chicago, Illinois office.

 
  Responsibilities:
  • Research and develop pricing models for financial instruments.
  • Design and implement the software for the pricing models.
  • Utilize proprietary software that has been developed by Ronin Capital and its Affiliated Companies to develop predictive models for algorithmic trading.
  • Conduct research, analyze, and present discoveries in a professional format.
  • Work with programmers in design, development, and implementation of financial software/trading systems.
  • Optimize current trading strategies/systems and adjust parameters to adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Develop and maintain proprietary databases, reports and monitors.
  • Work closely with the traders to understand business requirements, design efficient and scalable solutions.
  • Create and maintain up to date work plans, followed by communicating status to traders.
  • Work closely with market data and network infrastructure teams as well as quantitative analysis team.
  • Perform related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Requires Master's degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Econometrics, Physics, Computer Science or related advanced degree in quantitative fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years development experience with C++ in a Windows environment.
  • Previous experience in financial industry a must.
  • Artificial intelligence experience desired.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working as a quantitative analyst on the trading desk of an investment bank or hedge fund.
  • FX options experience desired.
  • Experience with Bloomberg and Bank API's a plus.
  • VBA experience desired.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture and design.
  • Understanding of financial models, statistical analysis, and/or simulation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure, dynamic trading environment.
  • Ability to be comfortable working independently.
