Ronin Capital is looking to a hire an outstanding mid-level Java Developer to join a small team developing a high-performance, automated system for trading stocks, options and futures. This is a profitable trading group with an exceptional platform, both financial and technical, looking to expand. This position will be located in our Oakland, CA office.

The individual in this position will maintain our current system and work through the backlog of open issues. There will be some project work, but most of this individual’s time will be spent modifying current code structure.

• 3-8 years Java software development experience.
• BS in a technical field is required, advanced degree is preferred, prestigious university is a plus.
• Strong object-oriented analysis & design skills, experience in Client/Server programming in a multi-threaded/multi-processor environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving skills. Must be creative.
• Must be a motivated self-starter who is willing to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong math background.
• Experience with Trading Systems, FIX or market data feed handlers preferred.
• Familiarity with Ant, Berkeley DB, Eclipse, Java Performance Tuning, Solaris 10, Swing, SVN, TCP, UDP, XML, Your Kit.
