Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance of Windows environment for multiple offices
- Build Domain controllers, DNS servers, and Exchange Servers. Set up printers and printer queues, create groups, assign login scripts, and perform other administrative functions.
- Administer IIS and Apache
- Maintain and plan domains, trusts and shares in the firm’s Active Directory environment.
- Manager user rights, logon and shutdown scripts.
- Perform emergency repairs and troubleshooting of both server and client issues.
- Install client and server software.
- Perform NAS (NetApps), SNAP Server and direct attach storage system administration.
- Administer disk-based data backup solution performing restores and monitoring performance.
- Analyze business problems and recommend solutions.
- Manage and mentor junior team members.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelors’ degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience with a minimum of 3 years experience as team lead.
- Experience building Domain controllers, DNS servers, and Exchange Servers.
- Expert knowledge of Exchange Server 2000/2003 skills and expertise in server performance analysis. Strong Windows 2000/2003 Server with extensive Active Directory knowledge and shell scripting required.
- Experience with anti-virus, preferably McAfee and with anti-spam, preferably Barracuda appliances.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts.
- Experience in managing physically distributed environments.
- Outlook Web Access administration experience.
- Experience with public folders, distribution lists and excellent documentation skills a must.
- Experience with NAS administration, preferably NetApps and direct attach storage solutions, primarily IBM and Promise based
- DR/BC planning and execution experience a plus.
- Strong planning and organizational skills and strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve complex problems
- Trading industry background a plus. Desire and aptitude to learn and understand the Trading Industry required.
- Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information.
- MCSE Certification/Training desirable.
