Applications Developer-Commodity Group

Ronin is currently looking to hire a Trading Applications Developer with knowledge of C#/.NET systems design and programming to work on a Commodities Futures Trading Desk. The individual in this position will be tasked primarily with the programming and development of trading strategies. Primary system will be a Windows-based automated trading application, comprised of multi-tier applications, which is hosted on two off-site servers and GUI’s that operate this licensed application. This position will also be very involved in analysis and design of customized system features. This position is located in our Chicago, Illinois office.

 
Responsibilites:
  • Work closely with traders and quantitative analysts to understand business requirements to design efficient and scalable solutions.
  • Participate in the design, development, testing, and rollout applications to the platform.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of high-frequency, automated trading systems.
  • Support data management, order routing and related automated trading system components.
  • Optimize and maintain host servers.
  • Interact with the Firm’s data management and order routing system departments in performing various general maintenance efforts.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in MIS, Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience developing trading systems in C#/.Net. Previous experience in financial industry required.
  • Keen understanding of financial models, statistical analysis, and/or simulation.
  • Strong mathematical background with an understanding of financial models and statistical analysis.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and develop resolutions to complex problems and to turn ideas and concepts into products.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to follow directions, complete time-sensitive tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-pressure, dynamic trading environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Good team player with strong commitment to working collaboratively and contributing in a small highly focused team environment and being held accountable for achieving business goals
  • Strong understanding of system architecture and design.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to document processes and procedures.
