Ronin is currently looking to hire an Applications Developer to work on an Index Options Trading Desk. As part of a quantitative analysis team, the individual in this position is expected to fulfill the desk's data-processing and programming needs, while working closely with the Firm’s application and IT staff. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn options trading and quantitative analysis. The position is located in our Chicago, Illinois office.

• Providing computing solutions to the desk's information & trading needs.
• Building and supporting data-processing and presentation applications.
• Working with real time and historical data.
• Participating in the design, development, and test of strategies.
• Understanding software and system applications used at the desk.
• Working closely with traders to understand business requirements.
• Performing additional programming/computing duties as required.
• Performing related duties as assigned.

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of programming experience, preferably in C/C++.
• Experience with database technologies is preferred.
• Experience with Excel/VBA is preferred.
• Experience with GUI programming is preferred.
• Good mathematical background with an understanding of statistical analysis.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and the ability to work independently on assignments with little supervision.
• Ability to turn ideas and concepts into programming solutions.
• Well organized and the ability to document processes and procedures.
• Desire and aptitude to learn software and system applications used in the business.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in and contribute to the team atmosphere.
• Desire and aptitude to learn and understand derivatives and trading.
