Quantitative Analyst/Financial Engineer

Ronin Capital is currently looking to hire a Quantitative Analyst/Financial Engineer with prior experience working in a Trading Firm Environment, preferably in equity derivatives and/or market making. The individual in this position will be working with a team built of experienced and highly seasoned traders of Options, Futures, and Equities, with a focus on a variety of derivative asset classes and strategies. Due to the fast growing nature of the Firm, the position offers tremendous upside potential. Successful individuals will be expected to mature into collaborating in trading decisions, managing portfolios, marketing, and helping set the strategic direction of the group. This position is located in our Chicago, Illinois office.

 
Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the building of derivative models in equity indices, and equity single-stock markets
  • Enhance current trading tools
  • Develop trading algorithms and new strategies
  • Conduct post trade analysis
  • Contribute to volatility arbitrage models
  • Demonstrate the ability to construct quoting algorithms
  • Research and analyze equities and equity options signals
  • Work with senior programmers and traders in design, development, and implementation of financial software
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree equivalent. Graduate degree - M.S. or Ph.D. preferred
  • Two to four years experience as either equity or fixed income derivatives quantitative analyst on the trading desk of a investment bank or hedge fund
  • Strong modeling and tool building experience
  • Knowledge of C++ preferred, PERL and RUBY proficiency required
  • Ability to creatively solve problems, question assumptions and articulate ideas
  • Fundamental understanding of numerical modeling and the underlying math
  • Self-motivated with the ability to follow directions, complete time-sensitive tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to document processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in and contribute in a team environment
