Ronin is currently looking to hire a Trading Applications Developer with knowledge of C++ systems design and programming to work on a Foreign Exchange desk. The individual in this position will work with a team lead, with responsibility for gathering requirements from traders, developing new systems, and supporting existing systems. This position is located in our Chicago, Illinois office.

• Work closely with traders to understand business requirements, design efficient and scalable solutions.
• Design, develop, test, rollout, and maintain server side and client side applications.
• Design & implement high transaction volume, automated trading systems.
• Create and maintain up to date work plans, communicating status to traders.
• Work closely with market data and network infrastructure teams as well as quantitative analysis team.
• Support systems during trading hours.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required.

• Bachelors’ degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience developing trading systems in C++.
• Experience developing in Linux required.
• Experience with database technologies, Sybase.
• Previous experience in financial industry required.
• Development experience with messaging architectures.
• Understanding of system architecture and design.
• Understanding of financial models, statistical analysis, and/or simulation is helpful.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high pressure, dynamic trading environment.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
